James Sidaway is a Principal Scientist in Global Safety Assessment at AstraZeneca, specialising in Molecular Toxicology. He gained his PhD from University of Manchester and has more than a decade’s experience of applying innovative molecular and cellular technologies to drug safety issues across the AstraZeneca pipeline. James has collaborated with many academic groups in research areas including application of omics to mechanisms of organ toxicity and the impact drug transporters and gut flora on drug toxicity. He is a former chairman of the In Vitro Toxicology Society and holds an honorary lectureship at the MRC Centre for Drug Safety Science at Liverpool University.
