Biography for Paul Leeson

Paul Leeson obtained BSc and PhD degrees from the Universities of Liverpool and Cambridge, followed by postdoctoral work at Sussex University.  His industrial career began at Smith Kline and French Research Laboratories, and has taken him to Merck Sharp and Dohme, Wyeth USA, and since 1997, AstraZeneca, where he is Head of Medicinal Chemistry at Loughborough.  His drug discovery contributions have been in the cardiovascular, neuroscience, respiratory and inflammation therapy areas, and in applications of chemoinformatics.
