1st Joint ELRIG/SBS meeting

CALGEPDF.jpg

October 2nd - 3rd 2007

This conference will address the the use of high throughput techniques for both target validation and lead identification. Attendees will hear world-class speakers discussing novel approaches to the development and prosecution of automated screening assays, the challenges to be faced in collating, maintaining and distributing large sample collections and the issues to be addressed to ensure the supply of biological reagents appropriate to automated drug discovery. In further sessions attendees will be able to discuss the application of high throughput techniques for target identification and validation and how high throughput approaches can be applied to identify novel leads with novel mechanism of action at G-protein coupled receptors and ion channels, two of the major target classes for drug discovery.
