In the parallel training programme sessions, we have an interesting session on Managing Potent Pharmaceuticals/Biopharmaceuticals in Discovery Environments.  The theme of the session will be an opportunity to ask experts about the issues you face in handling small amounts of highly toxic compounds in laboratory environments – pipelines are potent!  In Discovery, we often know limited information about the materials were are trying to make and exposure to research compounds has caused serious health problems in the past.  The session will be chaired by SafeBridge, recognised experts in this area, with input from AstraZeneca and others.  Feel free to drop into the training sessions, learn a little and ask questions of the experts.
